This is not exactly an exchange. But it is my response to an e-mail that I received today from my e-mail warrior sister in arms addressed to everyone on her e-mail list and as often being passed on, by me, to my contacts as well. As a matter of fact, I didn't even realize that Ercille Christmas, being a former British subject from the island of St. Kitts, is a black individual till I saw a picture of her with her faithful lifetime lover (play on words, it is a classic Ford MustangJ), followed soon by a tongue in cheek comment about herself over the Democratic Party's double standard on behalf of a remark that Harry Reid made, of which similar "racist" statement by Trend Lott lead to the same's resignation from the Republican Party. I came to love Ercille throughout the years for her wit and very often biting satire and humor. At the same time I'm glad to say that we are truly siblings in Christ Jesus.

I should be given a medal. I managed to listen through a radio discussion between a radio host and a James Rucker, co-founder with Van Jones (remember him), of Color of Change. They are apparently trying to get stations to not carry Fox News Channel, and businesses not to take out ads, because Fox encourages "rhetoric that is divisive and racist."
When I look back, I realize that I came here a very naive person, believing in the "goodness" of people. I was not hung up on race, because like Aunt Charlotte sang in "Oklahoma," my adopted mother brought me up to feel that I "was just as good, and no better than anybody else." I may have slightly misquoted Aunt Charlotte, but you get my drift. It was to convey the idea of equality, based on being created by the same Creator. Of course we have free will and we deviate. Since moving here I have come across some real "deviants," in the sense that they will not let this country let go of racial issues. They will keep stirring that racial stew because it is lucrative to them.
I related this story to some of you already. I was once invited to a public radio station, small, to tape a show with the host (black lady). She invited me back a second time to be part of a panel (all black). I did not say what I was expected to say, and I knew that I would not be invited ever again. I have not been. I gave my unflinching opinion about my dislike of affirmative action, the failure of many black men to be there for their offspring, and letting go of slavery as an excuse.
I guess that those of us who are still rational and deal with people as people, instead of as a color, will have to continue doing what we do. Thank you for not judging me on the color of my beautiful caramel-colored hue!

Dear Ercille,
If anything, I'm encouraged by people like you, Lloyd Marcus, Walter Williams, Thomas Sowell and Clarence Thomas and many more that especially because of the Tea Party movement come out of the wood work. If you wouldn't exist, you almost would get caught into the trap of thinking that this is normal and this is how it should be. But it's because of this vivid contrast from people being indoctrinated and carrying a chip on their shoulder as a result of that and people like you and I who grew up with a set of moral standards of good virtues and the knowledge of right and wrong REGARDLESS of color that gives me true hope. The only question is, who else benefits from this so called racial divide aside from the Black Supremacist leaders, Jesse Jackson el al who pocket the proceeds into their own coffers. I would point straight at the American/World Elite whose sole agenda is to weaken America and to make us all the same across the board (i.e. global governance, surveillance state).
